Our mission

Our mission at Chick-fil-A Rainbow & Lake Mead is simple: help people smile.

We know the secret to helping our guests smile is helping our Team Members smile. We’re not just in the chicken business, we’re in the people business. By caring about our Team Members, we’re then able to care for each of our guests and our local community.

Our people

Our team is made up of local folks who work hard to serve others. For some of our Team Members this is their first job, others are experienced hospitality professionals. When we select people to join our team we look for a positive attitude, dependability, a desire to be part of a team, integrity, and work ethic. Our commitment to training and development allows our Team Members to grow individually and as a team.

“We should be about more than just selling chicken. We should be a part of our customers’ lives and the communities in which we serve.”

-S. TRUETT CATHY 1921-2014

Closed on Sundays

Our founder, Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. Having worked seven days a week in restaurants open 24 hours, Truett saw the importance of closing on Sundays so that he and his employees could set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose - a practice we uphold today.

Our local owner

Vince Merrell is the local Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Rainbow & Lake Mead. Previous to Chick-fil-A Vince worked 9 years as a high school business, marketing, and entrepreneurship teacher in the Salt Lake City area. His passion for teaching, developing, and serving others guides his decisions within the business. Vince and his wife Meagan, and their children, are excited to be part of the Las Vegas community.
