Our mission

Take Good Care of Team Members, Guests, and Community.

We take care of TEAM MEMBERS by engaging in a positive work environment filled with kindness, encouragement, and growth. We take care of GUESTS by serving great food in a clean and safe environment, with fast, accurate, and genuine hospitality. We take care of COMMUNITY through the positive influence each Team Member has on family, friends, and community members.

Our people

Our team is made up of local folks who work hard to serve others. For some of our Team Members this is their first job, others are experienced hospitality professionals. When we select people to join our team we look for a positive attitude, dependability, a desire to be part of a team, integrity, and work ethic. Our commitment to training and development allows our Team Members to grow individually and as a team.

“We should be about more than just selling chicken. We should be a part of our customers’ lives and the communities in which we serve.”

-S. TRUETT CATHY 1921-2014

Closed on Sundays

Our founder, Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. Having worked seven days a week in restaurants open 24 hours, Truett saw the importance of closing on Sundays so that he and his employees could set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose - a practice we uphold today.

Our local owner
